I'm your Watercolor Artist, Tina Drew. I’ve been practicing art since a child. I completed all the art classes available at Jasper High School with Mr. Fred Robberts and Mr. Tom Schum. While I was still in high school, I also took watercolor classes in the evenings with local artist, Herald Wright. I was majoring in Art Education at Cumberland College, when I decided to get married and start a family. So I didn’t get back to my art for many years as I was raising my boys. With their encouragement, I started working on painting again.
I’ve been focusing on watercolor as my main art medium since 2021. I’ve taken a few local sketch and watercolor classes to get back into the art community. I also started putting my work in gallery shows. With my new excitement in watercolor, I had several offers for commission pieces. I’ve also been working on building my collection of watercolor paintings, as well as a portfolio of possible ideas for commissions. Some of which include portraits of loved ones, including pets; your beloved car; line and wash techniques of your lovely home; or perhaps some wall art to match your decor.
